Is the AGBKit free?
The AGBKit is absolutely free and there is no obligation.

How is the AGBKit used?
The AGBKit will come in a normal envelope to the address provided when you first requested the AGBKit. There are three parts to the AGBKit the first being the unique bar coded form. This form gives you information about the AGBKit, our guarantee to you, as well as payment and shipping information. The second part is the bag used to put your scrap gold in. Both of these items are then put into a heavy duty envelope for safe transport of your gold. The final thing to do is drop your AGBKit in the mail since the postage is prepaid by us.

If the AGBKit gets lost, is it insured?
All of our AGBKits are insured by us while traveling through the mail at the maximum of $100 per AGBKit. If you wish to insure your AGBKit for more at your own expense, please feel free to choose any carrier you would like.

What do you mean when you say "24 hour payment?"
What we mean by that is upon our receiving your shipment of gold, we will then ship out your check within 24 hours. One thing you need to take into consideration is that it could take up to 10 business days for the AGBKit to get to us and the same amount of time for you to receive your check. How long it takes for these to travel in the mail depends on where you live.

How will I know if you received my AGBKit?
After waiting the 10 days, you are welcome to call for assistance in looking up the status of your AGBKit. Just answer a few simple questions and they can look in the computer and tell you the exact status.

How much will you pay for my gold?
This is our most common question we are asked. We determine how much a piece is worth by using a scale of payment that is based on the weight and nature of the gold.
For example, if one customer sends in a 14K chain that is light and broken, and another customer sends in a heavy 18K bracelet, the bracelet has a higher percentage than the broken chain. To determine this, all materials are entered into a computer and analyzed for what they are worth.

What will happen if I am not happy with the payment amount?
If you are not happy with the amount of the check, simply just send the check back insured at our expense within 10 days and we would be happy to help you.

Are you able to contact me before you send out my check?
Of course. The only thing we ask is that you write "Please contact me with quote" on the information form that you received with your AGBKit.

What do I do if the AGBKit is too small to hold all of my items?
This happens to a lot of our customers and all you have to do is just call and we will send you another bag that is much larger. To receive this you are responsible for the postage and insurance, but it will later be refunded with the purchase of your gold.

Am I allowed to use my own packaging?
Of course. This wil actually be quicker for you since you won't have to wait for the AGBKit in the mail. Simply just go onto our website and print out a packing slip.

What if I don't know if something is gold?
If you don't know if an item is gold, simply just include it in your shipment and we will check it. If the items turn out to be something other then gold, you will still be paid, but for a gold filled item. Our only request is that you don't include anything you know is not gold.
